    Saturday August 27 started the Fall season for the Goose Creek United Soccer Club. The only team in action on opening day was the GCU U16B Hail Storm, who traveled to Columbia for a double header to begin their season.

    In the opening game, they beat the Greenwood LTSC squad 3-1. Strikers Travis Shipp picked up a goal while Brad Rumble scored 2. Assists went to Brady Miller with 2 and Logan Wright with 1.

    In their second match, they beat the Columbia United Crescent II team by a score of 2-1 after coming from behind in the second half. Goals in that game went to defender Zack Vollertsen and striker Travis Shipp, with Logan Wright picking up his second assist for the day.

    The remaining GCU teams should begin their seasons in the upcoming next two weeks.
